Airports, both domestic and international, can be found (in order of proximity) at Angers, Tours, Nantes, Poitiers, and Paris. Connections from the airports to the château are by road or rail. Exceptionally, helicopter transfers are possible from Tours for 1,500 Euros for up to 5 passengers.
The nearest rail station is at Saumur however frequent services to and from Paris are available at Angers St Laud, Le Mans (or Mans on the Ouigo low-cost route) and St Pierre des Corps (Tours TGV station). The Vernantes Junction 3 of the A85 from Paris lies just 10km south of Château de Jalesnes. Very often guests arriving from this direction are encouraged by their SatNav’s to leave the Autoroute at the Longué Junction 2 instead, however this leads you to the farm at the rear of the château and the start of a tortuous un-mapped route to the front gate. Motorists arriving from Le Mans, Tours or Angers should set their SatNav’s to ‘Avoid Tolls’ and head for ‘Vernantes’ ‘rue de Blou’. As you leave the village in the Direction of Blou, take the 2nd Gate on the right to the Château .
