Our Spaces
Banquet Halls
Our Interconnecting salons have retractable full-height glazed and oak partitions which can be opened to reveal a stunning gallery for dining and dancing. Individually these salons form:
- Old Sacristy; a small paneled room used as a green room for musicians.
- Gallery; suitable for private views and team meetings.
- Dining Room; Private venue seating up to 16, can also be used as a board room.
- Ante Room; Circulatory space between the Entrance Hall and gardens, often used for afternoon tea.

Chapel of Saint Louis
A stunning yet inspirational performance space seating up to 85 in comfort. The double-storey vaulted ceiling and stained glass window by Bordereau of Angers impress all who enter. With dimmable LED lighting and a fresh-air circulation system the chapel has possible use for concerts, wedding ceremonies, product launches and lectures. The de-mountable stage, minstrel gallery and crypt offer additional opportunities for creating a very special occasion.

Salons
Our two open-plan reception rooms; Library and Club Salon are interconnected with a shared open fireplace and afford an opportunity for quiet relaxation, surrounded by books, paintings and comfortable leather upholstered sofas and chairs set against the wooden parquet flooring. This gorgeously sumptuous space has a number of different potential uses amongst the most recent were a drinks reception, wine tasting, committee meeting and a private film screening.

Grounds
The estate of Jalesnes runs to some 20 acres and includes a forest with beautiful nature walks, picnic lawns with barbeque areas, marquee lawns which are also used for landing helicopters, Formal Jardins Francaises, an orchard and permaculture jardin potager with swathes of meadowflower, a petanque rink and a 20 metre heated seasonal pool. Guests can also benefit from the sun terrace which can be used for outdoor theatre and concerts.

Guest Services
Self Catering
Our private guest suites are fully equipped for self catering. However if on arrival you haven’t had time to shop, we have a self-service mini-shop in the Salons which will give you some options to help you survive the night!

Breakfast
If you don’t want to be up at dawn chasing the local baker for croissants, we are happy to provide you with a delicious continental breakfast to be served in your suite at any time of your choosing between 8am-10am daily. Breakfast orders must be submitted by 5pm the afternoon prior.

Dinner
If you wish to dine in your suite without having to do all the prep we offer several exciting options; including: a Michelin- trained chef who will prepare a gourmet meal from your selection from one of three appetising menus delivered to your room. Room Service must be booked a few hours in advance. We have an excellent relationship with all the restaurants in the area and are pleased to make recommendations and reservations for guests.

Drinks All Around
Just as you could imagine, Château de Jalesnes is the perfect place to relax with a drink in hand after a day spent discovering the secrets of the Loire Valley. We invite you to bring your own refreshments as you make use of the property’s many areas and encourage you to join other house guests and non-residents alike in the comfortable lounges, on the expansive terrace, throughout the ornamental gardens, or beside the glistening pool.

Picnic Baskets
A lazy day exploring the beautiful Loire countryside by car, kayak or cycle is what holidays were made for and what better way to celebrate a gloriously sunny day than with a well-packed hamper. Our mouthwatering selection can be tailored to your needs if you order before 5pm the previous afternoon. Crockery, napery and even a blanket are included. Cost €25 per person. (Minimum 2 people). Helicopter Transfers
What better way to arrive at Château de Jalesnes than by helicopter direct from your flight. Transfers from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Nante Airport or Tours Airport can be arranged. We can also arrange sight-seeing flights to the Le Mans 24hr circuit and Museum, Mont St Michel or the Normandy Beaches and an aerial tour of some of the glorious chateaux of the Loire. Executive transfer
The château can arrange luxury saloon transfer to most places as well as taxi and chauffeured minibus journeys for evenings out in Saumur and wine tasting forays into the Loire and Anjou regions. Contact us with your requirements for a quotation.

Cycle Hire
We are pleased to lend the Château cycles to guests wishing to explore the local area. Just let us know which days and at what times you would like to borrow them and they will be waiting for you in front of the château.
For larger groups; your cycles arrive from a specialist who will be on-hand to make last minute adjustments to your riding position and who will collect again from a rendezvous of your choosing. Contact us if you would like a quote.

Massage, Manicure & Grooming
For a special event at Château de Jalesnes or simply for no reason at all, you can enjoy the services of a masseuse in the privacy of your private suite. We can also arrange for the château manicurist to visit. For gentlemen; what could be more relaxing that a wet shave with handfuls of foaming soap and a traditional straight-razor and a hot towel massage to finish. Contact us to book an appointment.

Our studio private guest suites are superbly well-equipped with a compact kitchen area containing microwave / convection oven, two induction hobs, integrated mini-fridge, dishwasher and washer dryer (or in some cases a shared mini-laundry). The living space has seating and dining for up to four people and enough utensils are provided in the kitchen for up to four people as well. The super-king-size bed can be separated into two generous singles on request and every bathroom has a bath as well as a shower.

This ground floor suite benefits from a light and airy triple aspect across the lawns, courtyard and former stables of the château.

This ground floor suite benefits from a light and airy triple aspect across the lawns, courtyard and former stables of the château. High ceilings are a feature here, the west wing pavilion having been constructed in celebration of the marriage of the Prince of Condé to the Marquis’ niece. Impressive double door entrance directly from the Cour d’Honneur permits a stand-alone suite however it is still possible to access the grand salons via an internal corridor. This suite has Disability Access.

This magnificent first floor open-plan suite offers marvellous light from sunrise to sunset through large windows on three sides.

This magnificent first floor open-plan suite offers marvellous light from sunrise to sunset through large windows on three sides. Forming part of the Pavilion de Condé in the West Wing of the chateau, the suite enjoys remarkably high ceilings and excellent views looking back at the Louis XIII façade of the main chateau with its little ‘poivrier’ or pepper-pot turret. There are wonderful views of the forest and the Old Guard Tower. Access is via the west wing staircase.

This suite sometimes serves as the private rooms of the marriage couple and can form part of the Jalesnes ‘Wedding Collection’

This suite sometimes serves as the private rooms of the marriage couple and can form part of the Jalesnes ‘Wedding Collection’ – a grouping of three similar suites given over to the exclusive use of those closest to the wedding party. An interconnecting door with Suite Blandin opens up a family-room connection. From the double baths to the exacting detailing of the principal room, and with views over the formal gardens, this truly is a memorable living space. First Floor.

First visited by Don Carlos in 1879, this second floor suite has beautiful views of the forest, the old stables, and the front of the chateau.

Located on the first floor, the living area is very spacious and bright with a large aubergine accented kitchen. Marvellous one bedroom, first floor suite enjoying a southerly aspect which gives a lovely light all day long. Large paneled sliding doors allow the suite to become an open-plan living space which greatly suits the big leather sofa. A double-ended free-standing bath with claw feet sets off the traditional bathroom which has a separate water-closet.

This suite comes with several exposed timbers and there are wonderful views if you pause to look out of the windows towards the forest and the old Guard Tower.

Unusual features include exposed beams, parts of an ancient fireplace, a staircase to nowhere and a fabulous shower in the tower.
2 Bedroom Suites
Our two bedroom private guest suites have full kitchens with larger refrigerators, dishwashers, hobs, ovens and washing machine capacities they also have double sinks. The living space has seating and dining for up to six people and enough utensils are provided in the kitchen for up to six people as well. The super-king-sized beds can be separated into generous singles on request. Most en-suite bathrooms have both a bath and a shower however Brezé and Bibliothèque have only a very generous shower in one of their two bathrooms.

A well-proportioned suite situated in the former grand dining room on the ground floor. This suite features impressive gilded beamed ceilings together with walls of over one metre in thickness.
