By Train: The nearest major train station is Saumur, which has direct connections to Paris and other French cities. From there, the château is a short 20-minute drive.
By Car: We are easily accessible by car, with ample parking available on-site. The drive from Paris takes approximately 3 hours.

Do we need to be legally married in France?
French law requires a minimum period of residency before couples can legally marry in France. For this reason, many of our international couples choose to complete their legal marriage at home, and then celebrate with a symbolic or religious ceremony at the château. However, if you are able to meet the French requirements, our team can guide you through the process and support you with paperwork and celebrant arrangements.
How many guests can stay at the château?
Château de Jalesnes offers 17 suites that can host up to 65 guests on-site. Each suite is unique, with 1–3 bedrooms, private living areas, and ensuite bathrooms. For larger celebrations, we can arrange additional accommodation in nearby hotels, gîtes, or even other châteaux just minutes away. This allows all your guests to stay close, while still enjoying the exclusivity of the estate.
