One of the greatest joys of hosting a destination wedding in France — and particularly in the Loire Valley — is the way each season brings its own distinct atmosphere, colour palette, and rhythm. At Château de Jalesnes, weddings take place throughout the year, each one shaped beautifully by the season in which it unfolds.
Here’s a glimpse into how four couples embraced the magic of spring, summer, autumn, and winter for their celebrations.
Spring Wedding Inspiration – A & B
A and B celebrated their wedding with around 40 guests in March, making the most of the château’s quieter season while enjoying soft sunshine, crisp mornings, and the cosy comfort of our suites.
Spring at Jalesnes is a time of gentle renewal — woodland walks as greenery begins to return, bright but cool mornings perfect for coffee on the terrace or a bike ride into the village, and clear evenings under spectacular starry skies.
While outdoor ceremonies are possible year-round, A and B chose to exchange vows in our elegant chapel, officiated by A’s father. Their reception took place in the traditional banquet hall, with key moments of the vin d’honneur and champagne tower enjoyed outdoors in the warmth of the early afternoon sun.

Summer Wedding Inspiration – J&F
From June through August, the Loire Valley typically enjoys warm, sunny days with temperatures averaging a comfortable 25°C — and J and F’s August wedding was no exception.
Their celebrations began with a relaxed BBQ welcome dinner in the formal gardens, with some guests making the most of the pool beforehand. On the wedding day itself, the couple exchanged vows in dazzling sunshine on the front lawns, before moving to the terrace for the vin d’honneur and then into the banquet hall for dinner — a welcome break from the heat.
As fireworks lit up the sky and the evening softened, guests danced late into the night in the chapel, enjoying the long, golden summer evening.

Autumn Wedding Inspiration – N & J
As the leaves begin to turn, Jalesnes takes on a cinematic quality — and N and J embraced the season wholeheartedly with warm tones, cosy details, and an intimate guest experience.
They chose the château’s unique dry moat for their ceremony, a setting that truly comes alive with autumn’s shades of green, red, and brown. The weather remained mild, allowing guests to enjoy canapés, cocktails, crosswords, and mini golf on the lawns and terrace during the vin d’honneur.
Dinner was served outdoors on the formal lawns, with guests wrapped in shawls and blankets as the evening cooled. With just 20 guests, the couple opted for relaxed evening entertainment: a curated playlist, s’mores, a whiskey and cigar bar, and warming apple cider and mulled wine.

Winter Wedding Inspiration – F & T
While snowfall is rare in the Loire Valley, frosty mornings at Château de Jalesnes feel straight out of a fairytale, with glowing interiors creating an atmosphere of warmth and intimacy.
F and T celebrated as the year drew to a close, transforming the château into a candlelit winter wonderland with white roses, soft sparkle, and elegant seasonal styling.
Music played a central role in their celebration — a live violinist for the ceremony, guitarist during dinner, singer and saxophonist for the evening party, and even an Elvis impersonator to ring in the New Year. A joyful, unforgettable way to welcome the next chapter.
From fresh spring mornings to golden summer evenings, rich autumn colours to cosy winter celebrations, Château de Jalesnes welcomes weddings in every season.
