Don Carlos

Studio Suite

First visited by Don Carlos, l’Enfant d’Espagne, in 1879, this characterful second-floor studio suite carries a sense of regal presence and historic charm.

The suite enjoys expansive views across the forest and the front of the château. Architectural details such as exposed ceiling beams lend warmth and character, while the bathroom features twin WCs, a magnificent bathtub, and striking views from the shower – perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the grounds.

While this suite does not include a full kitchen, it is equipped with a fridge, microwave, dining table for two guests, and utensils for two – ideal for light refreshments.

Access is via the West Stairwell to the second floor.  There is no lift access to this suite.

This suite is named in honour of Don Carlos of the House of Bourbon, who visited the chateau in 1879. He was pretender to the Spanish throne under the name of Charles VII from 1868 to 1909, and to the French throne as Charles XI in 1887-1909.
